You said the brake flange you currently have on your trailer measures 2 x 2-1/4 inches. My best recommendation is to have the brake flange you currently have cut off and then have new brake flanges like part # 4-35 welded on by a professional. These are normally welded in place with a jig because they have to be concentric and square. This flange is for round axles that are 2-3/8 inches diameter, and are designed to work with 10 inch brakes like # 23-26 and # 23-27.

The drum that would work with the # 23-26 and # 23-27 brakes is part # 84546UC3. This has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern and includes the bearings, races, seal, grease cap, wheel bolts and lug nuts.

Without all of the hassle, you may want to think about replacing your axle with an axle like part # e43SR that has the brakes already installed. The brake flanges and spring seats are already in place. There are a few things you would need to know for replacement axles.

What is the hub face to hub face dimension? What is the spring seat center to center dimension (see diagram)? You can get these dimensions by measuring your existing axle.

What is your wheel bolt pattern? I have attached a helpful article that explains this.
