Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2013 Dodge Avenger SXT
Question:
I saw your answer for the R/T with dual exhaust. I assume this also applies to the SXT, but I want to be certain before I order.

Yes, the Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24871 fits all models of the 2013 Dodge Avenger including your SXT. I have included a link to a video showing installation. The model in the video has single exhaust but installation for dual exhaust models would basically be the same.
If you plan on doing any towing then the correct ball mount to use is # 3594. For a 1-7/8 inch ball you can use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. And for trailer wiring use # C56211.
If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.
