Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2012 Acura TSX Special Edition Sedan
Question:
2012 Acura TSX Special Edition sedan Can you please confirm this hitch is compatible with this vehicle? The QandA at the link below seems to indicate that it is not and suggests a different Curt hitch 11085. However, I prefer the style of this particular hitch 11496 if it will fit without having to cut any body panels fascia.

In the answer you are referring to it states that Curt trailer hitch # C11085 fits the TSX Sport Wagon, not the sedan. It goes on to say that the correct hitch for the sedan is # C11496. This is all still true for your 2012.
Since you have a 2012 sedan you will need hitch # C11496. There isn't any visible fascia that needs to be trimmed but underneath the vehicle there is a heat shield and trim panel that would have to be modified or trimmed for hitch installation.
If you plan on towing with the hitch the correct ball mount is # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch ball you can use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring you can use # 118420.
If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.
Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or car go carrier) per their warranty requirements.
