Trunk Mounted Bike Rack for Honda Fit 2007 and For Hyundai Elantra 2007
Question:
Would a Thule Sweden Tempo 2 Bike rack work for both of my Cars Honda Fit 2007 I think its a sport model and For Hyundai Elantra 2007?? Can you open the truck with this bike rack attached? If not this bike rack what would be a comparable model to fit my cars?? I am looking for something safe and sturdy that holds 2 bikes at a comparable price and possibly able to open the trunk with rack attached. Thank you!

I have a solution for you, but Thule is very strict about their stuff only being available in the area it is originally sold in. I don't have any fit info for your 2007 Honda Fit or Elantra with a Thule Sweden bike rack.
If you find a way to make the rack fit on your vehicle I can't recommend you open the trunk with it installed.
For a trunk rack that I can confirm as a fit for both vehicles (as long as the Fit isn't a Sport) you would want the Thule OutWay part # TH45JV.
What makes this rack far superior to the others is the attachment system. It uses only2 retractable coated steel cables to attach to the vehicle rather than 4-6 nylon straps like other racks. This makes installation quick and easy and the cables also last longer.
The cables store inside the rack so there are no loose straps ends to flap around. The cables can also be locked into position to deter theft of the rack. And there is also an integrated cable lock in the last bike position to deter bike theft.
This rack also features the latest and greatest in cradles. The cradles have road dampening technology which protects bike frames better than other cradles.
If you plan on carrying any women's or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter # 64005 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
