Replacement Lock Core and Keys Recommendation for an Older Thule Mountaineer
Question:
I have a Thule Mountaineer rooftop cargo box probably from the 200-2002 era. The family I purchased it from lost their keys so they punched out the entire lock mechanism, although the bar that slides to lock the box is still intact. Where do I go to purchase an entire lock mechanism? The box has small stickers inside with the date 8/13/01 and what I think are initials OP ES and OP JS on the two stickers. A third sticker says Traceability Label with a SN: 081501-116-S1-L3 on it. Otherwise the box is in good condition. Your web site has the most information availability so I thought Id try you. Thanks,

As long as the box isn't damage you could install a new lock core with the part # TH450200. You would just need to slide the included change key into a lock cylinder and then slide the cylinder into the box.
