What Does NC Message Codes Indicate on Tekonsha PRIMUS Trailer Brake Controller

Question:

Hi. I installed the 4 way to 7 EBTC7 kit as per instructions. Installed the primus IQ as per instructions. When the manual over ride is pressed it shows .n.c When not doing anything there is 1 dot on display. Does that mean there is an issue? The vehicle is not connected to a trailer. When brake pedal is pressed the display does not change Is this because the vehicle is not connected? Thanks !

On the Tekonsha PRIMUS Brake Controller, # TK90160, a message that reads nc means no trailer is connected. It should show nc when the manual override is pressed and no trailer is connected.

The single dot indicates that the boost feature is not on. Two dots means that the boost feature is on.

I have included a link to the installation details for the brake controller that includes a chart of the various codes the PRIMUS can display.
