Hydrastar HBA-10 Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Compatibility with 2008 Ford F-350 Factory Controller

Question:

I have a Ford 2008 F-350, just purchased a used trailer with HBA-10 controller. The HBA-10 works when the trucks on board brake controller manually activated when you depressed manual button But NOT when you push the brakes going down the road. All the wiring is done correctly triple checked I was reading on your site that HBA-10 is not compatible with the 2008 Ford models.Here are my questions: Would you agree that what I described is the result of the incompatibility? Would the HBA-CAM would fix it? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you are correct that your 2008 Ford F-350 with factory brake controller will not operate when connected to the HydraStar # HBA-10 unless you add the Control Adapter Module # HBA-CAM. This adapter allows the factory controller and the EOH actuator to communicate properly. The adapter works with HBA-10 units with a serial number of 313800 or higher.
