For a 3-bike trunk mount bike carrier the best option is going to be the Thule OutWay # TH56BV. I have an older version of this carrier and it is by far the best trunk mount carrier I have ever used.

The 2 retractable cables make installation quick and easy compared to other carriers that use 6 straps. The cables are also more durable and the slack is stored inside the carrier. This carrier also features the latest and greatest in cradle technology to better protect the bike frames. And this carrier has an integrated cable lock and access to the cable mechanism can also be locked to deter theft of the bikes and carrier. I have included a link to a video review for you.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
