Dual Hitch Receiver to Tow Trailer and Carry Bike Rack

Question:

I am looking for a Dual Hitch Receiver that I can use to pull a RV trailer and mount a bike rack. I was looking at your Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 4inch Drop/Rise however it said not to use with a trailer. Thx

Our Dual Hitch Receivers are not designed for use with any type of trailer. They are designed for use with tow bars only.

I recommend installing a hitch on the back of your RV. If your RV has a 4 x 4 inch continuous-welded steel bumper, you could use the RV Bumper 2 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver, # S64025, along with a bike rack that is designed for use behind an RV. The Swagman Original 3 Bike Rack, # S64152-2, is a good choice.

If your bumper is not a continuous welded steel bumper, you could consider adding a frame mounted hitch to your RV, like the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22 inch to 72 inch Wide, # 13703. The bike rack mentioned above will work well with this hitch also.

Finally, if you do not have a ladder on the rear of your RV would be to use a bumper mounted bike carrier, if the bumper on your RV is a 4 to 4-1/2 inch continuous welded steel square bumper. I would recommend the Swagman 4 Bike Carrier RV Mounted Bike Rack, # S80600, to carry up to four bikes behind the trailer.
