Recommended Backup Camera System To Mount On back Of Boat Trailer

Question:

I would like to mount the camera on the back of my boat trailer to help me see who is behind me when changing lanes, backing up etc. The distance between my Dash and the back of the boat is about 45 feet. I would prefer the system be a temporary mount ie magnet as the trailer will be in and out of the water. Thank you very much for getting back to me.

The camera system I recommend is the Swift Hitch Wireless Camera, part # 04928. This features night vision and has a radio frequency (RF) transmission distance of 300 ft. This is a water-resistant camera but it is not waterproof. You would need to remove the camera from the back of your trailer each time you plan on backing the trailer into the water. I recommend this system for you because it mounted with a magnetic base and can be removed versus some of the other cameras which are not easily removed.
