Flat Towing Recommendations for 2015 Honda Fit

Can we tow 2015 Honda fit

According to the owner's manual for the 2015 Fit, Honda doesn't recommend flat towing the vehicle. I did some research online and found that using a tow dolly like part # RM-2050-1 is the recommended method for transporting the vehicle behind a motorhome.

A tow dolly will typically have taillights, but the extra visibility provided by a set of the # RM-2120 EZ Mount Tow Lights would be a great idea from a safety standpoint.

The tow dolly uses electric brakes, so you'd need a brake controller like the Tekonsha Primus # TK90160. If your motorhome doesn't have a 7-way trailer connector at the rear bumper, you'll need the Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7. You'll also need some extra wire which is sold by the foot, part # 10-2-1. A length equal to about 1/2 the length of your motorhome should do the trick.
