looking for a cargo box that will fit cross bars spaced 42inch from end to end. have a 2011 ford transit connect with Black Transit Connect J1000 bolt-on ladder roof rack 50inch bars made by vantech usa

When we refer to crossbar distance, we use the term bar spread, which is the distance apart from the center (width wise) of the front bar to the center of the rear bar. I've provided a photo illustrating this.

If your bar spread is not greater than 42 inches, the Yakima Skybox 21 Pro you referred to, part # Y07337 would indeed fit. 42 inches is the maximum crossbar spread this cargo box will fit.
