2015 Ford Explorer Brake Control Installation
Question:
I am looking to install a tow package on a 2015 Explorer. I have found all the part #s I need but I am curious if the Tekonsha 3035-P brake control wiring will work with this vehicle if it didnt come with factory tow package. In other words, is the plug still under the dash for that connector to plug in to?

According to my Tekonsha contact, your Explorer should have a brake controller connector, it would be located behind the handle for the hood release. You'll need the # 3035-P brake controller wiring adapter, which is compatible with Tekonsha brake controllers like the Prodigy P2, part # 90885.
If your Explorer doesn't have a trailer connector, or if it has the 7-way, you'll install the 7-way connector, part # 118272 which would plug into the connector located under the vehicle behind the passenger side rear tire.
I've linked you to instructions for the brake controller and wiring harness.
