Adding a Trailer Wiring Harness to a 2007 Harley Electraglide Classic to Tow a Solace Camper
Question:
I plan to tow a solace camper behind my 2007 Harley Electraglide classic. Do I need or should I apply an inline isolator in the wiring harness, or can I just wire directly to MC system?

Motorcycles and trailers designed to be towed behind motorcycles have brake lights that are separate from the turn signal circuits. Provided this is true for your bike and trailer then you could wire a wiring harness directly to the bike's wiring. You would just need the proper vehicle side connector.
It seems that many motorcycle trailers use a 5-Way flat so for a vehicle side you could use # HM47900. And I have also included a link to all of the vehicle side connectors we carry in case the trailer requires something else.
If the trailer does have combined turn signals and brake lights on the same circuit you will need to use a converter wiring harness # 119178 to combine the separate circuits on the bike to combined on the output side of the connector.
If the bike running light and brake light circuits are combined then on the 119178 harness you would ground the brown wire with the white wire and just use the red wire for the combined brake light/running light circuit.
