Bike Rack Recommendation to Carry Womans and Childs Bike on 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee

what bike rack would you recommend for use on a 2013 jeep grand cherokee 4x4 laredo. Will be used for carrying a womens bike and a child bike. Car does not have hitch receiver. Thank you.

Since your 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee is not equipped with a trailer hitch, the most economical route would be to go with a trunk mounted bike rack.

One of my personal favorites is the Thule OutWay 2-Bike Rack, # TH45JV. This rack is loaded with options including the patented Fit-Dial system which allows you to quickly and easily mount the rack as well as 2 retractable cables for mounting instead of the 6 straps used by a lot of other carriers.

If your house is anything like mine, it is inevitable that an extra little person (friend) will be tagging along at some point in time. For this you may want to consider going with our 3 bike version, part # TH56BV.

Although both bike racks have adjustable dual arms, you may still find it easier to load the woman's and child's bike if you use a bike adapter bar like the Swagman Easy-Out, # 64005. This bar attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more evenly in the carrier which also provides more ground clearance.
