Can Weight Distribution Be Used on a Vehicle with Load Leveling Suspension

Question:

I have a 2015 Dodge Durango with a load leveling suspension. It is not an airbag system, rather it has ZF Nivomat rear shocks. Ill be ordering a Strait-Line hitch either 600 lb or 800 lb TW - need to check the TW yet. I have read in your QandA section that for vehicles with an airbag system you should let the airbags level the vehicle before adjusting the WD hitch. Is that the same case for the Nivomat shocks, which would requiring driving the vehicle with the trailer hitched?

What you will need to do is hitch your trailer up to your 2015 Dodge Durango and do whatever it takes for the suspension to level. If that means you have to drive it around the block that is what you would need to do before setting up your Strait-Line weight distribution system.
