Drop Shank Recommendation for a Blue Ox Weight Distribution System
Question:
Currently I have a blue ox BXW1000 with 1200 bars. I just sold my ram 1500 and purchased a ram 2500. The new Ram is approximately 3.5 inch higher than the old truck and the receiver is now a 2.5 Inch in place of the old 2inch reciever. I can lower the existing shank only one more hole. Even if i do this the lowest i can get the ball is 26.5 inches on the truck. The trailer is level at 24 inches high. The trailer is 36 feet long and approximately 8500 lbs. Do I need a different shank to it lower? If so what would you recommend?
