Question:
Hello, I have a 1998 International 3400 series Bus and need help with how to wire up the 7 way plug and a Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake controller to my Bus. I ordered a kit from yall for a 2002 chevy van and it was real easy, but it helped having a wiring diagram and good advice. We pull a 20 foot trailer with tandem brakes and need help with how to wire brake controller and lights for the BUS The Bus is a 1998 International 3400 Series Shuttle Bus 30 ft. long. Thank You

Installation of a trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 in your 1998 International 3400 Series bus will require a trailer brake installation kit, part # ETBC7, along with the controller itself. Since your vehicle is fairly long you will need extra wiring # 10-2-1 (sold by the foot) to let you reach all the way back to your rear bumper.
We do not have a video for Voyager installation in your specific vehicle but the linked article covers installation of the # ETBC7 kit. The kit includes the 7-way, wiring connectors, circuit breakers and a tester to help you find a brake light circuit wire which will be the input signal to the Voyager.
You can check the owner's manual (or perhaps find a sticker in the glove box) to help you find a brake circuit wire that is hot ONLY when the pedal is pressed. The included tester will help you find that brake wire, which will connect to the RED wire on the Voyager's harness. The BLACK wire brings 12V power from the battery, the WHITE wire is ground and connects to the battery negative terminal and the BLUE wire is the controller output that goes to the 7-way. Please refer to the linked photo showing you the usual wiring configuration for 7-ways.
You will need to have a working 4-pole on the bus before you can install the # ETBC7. If you do not have one, I suggest # 119250KIT from Tekonsha. Al video for this kit is linked for you.
