Will a Friction Sway Control Bar Stop Sway on a Enclosed Trailer Towed by Ford Econoline Van

Question:

I have a Ford E-150 van Traveler towing a 7x18 enclosed double axle Passport trailer with a small sports car inside. Trailer weight is just under 4000 pounds. All hooked up everything looks very level. Tailer sway is very noticeable when making lane changes or passing large vehicles. Will 83660 help with this issue? I am using a 7500 pound hitch but no weight distribution bars. I did not have this problem when I towed this with my GMC Envoy. Thanks!

The aerodynamics of your Ford Econoline van and/or its length might be why you notice more sway with it compared to the Envoy. Regardless using a friction sway control bar such as # 83660 will help with the sway. All you will need besides the bar is a bracket for the ball mount, # RP26003.
