Recommended Roof Rack, Surfboard and Kayak Carrier for 2011 Acura RDX

which is the best kit for my vehicle please. and it will be used for surf boards up to 2 and kayak. and what are the locks it doesnt come with? do i have to have to those to utilize the rack system?? Thank you so much!

The Rhino Rack Vortex Aero rack consisting of the # RRVA137B-2 crossbars, the # RRRLKVA foot pack and the # DK177 fit kit you mentioned would be an excellent choice for your RDX. This comes with plastic lock cores with universal keys, but can be upgraded to all metal locks for added security, # RRVA-LEC4.
For your surfboards, I'd recommend the Thule # TH811XT board carrier, which can carry up to 2 boards. The molded foam base protects your boards from damage, and tie down straps are included.
For a kayak, the Rhino Rack # S512 would be an excellent choice for carrying your kayak. The carrier can fold when its not in use, and the carrier includes the necessary tie-downs.
