Taillight Converter to Separate Combined Taillight Circuits
Question:
Re: Question 39570 in your archives I am looking for a way to isolate amber turn signal lights from red tail and brake lights. The Tow Ready 118158 converter seems like the right part. Question is: do the amber lights stay on when they are not flashing or do they only come on as a turn signal and then go dark after turn has been made?

The taillight signal converter part # 118158 that you referenced would be the correct product you would need to convert a combined taillight circuit to a separate circuit.
The turn signals would only be illuminated when the blinkers are applied on the tow vehicle. They would not stay on all the time.
Check out the review video I attached as well.
