How much drilling is involved in mounting hitch on 2000 Avalon? How difficult is wiring package on same car?

You will only have to drill 2 of the 6 holes used for installing Draw-Tite hitch # 36293 on a 2000 Toyota Avalon. I have added a link to the instructions below for you to review.
The wiring will be done mostly in the trunk, with the exception of one wire, using kit # C59496. You will use the included scotch-locks to connect the wires on the harness to the existing tail light wires in the trunk. Included in the kit is a circuit tester to help you identify the wires you need to splice to.
The larger red wire will need to be run all the way up to the battery with the fuse in-line. This provides a separate power source for the trailer lights so that if the trailer were to ever short circuit, it would not hurt the vehicle lights and since the trailer has an independent power source, you can use more lights if you choose to.
