Do You Have to Measure to Determine if You Can Use the Covert-A-Ball 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter
Question:
Do you have to measure before getting this adapter?

No, you do not have to measure to determine if the Convert-A-Ball adapter # CAB-C5G can be used. But if you want to make sure the 12 to 16 inch adjustable height range is going to work you can certainly measure. Basically you will measure from the tops of the bed corrugations to the bottom of the skid plate on the trailer with the trailer level and both parked on level ground.
At the 12 to 16 inch height you will need to have at least 5 or 6 inches from the tops of the bed sides to the bottom of the trailer overhang. I have linked a video review of this adapter for you.
