Recommended Truck Bed Fifth Wheel Wiring Harness For 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
Question:
i have a 2015 chevy silverado 2500 hd that i will be installing a 5th wheel hitch in. i plan on using the Curt 16411-204 installation kit. the truck came with the optional 5th wheel wiring, which i believe is just a bundle of wires, that i have to hook up the 7 blade connector to. what connector do you recommend that i can attach wires to the backside, and mount it inside my truck bed?

You should find a 7-way connector at the back of your Silverado. If you do then you can simply use a harness like the Bargman Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 50-97-410.
This harness plugs between the 7-way connector you have and the harness that is plugged into the back of it. You then just route the harness to the location in your truck bed you want the harness to complete the install. I have attached a link to an installation of this harness you can
check out.
If you do not have the 7-way on your Silverado but have the bundled wires as you mentioned, you can use the 5th Wheel and Gooseneck 90-Degree Pigtail Harness, part # 50-97-410. To install this you would use the following wire configuration:
Yellow: center auxiliary
Green: tail and license lights
Brown: right turn and stop lights
Blue: electric brake
Black: battery charge
Red: left turn and stop lights
White: ground wire.
A nice fifth wheel hitch would be the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # C16521. This has dual jaws which gives you a 360 degree king pin contact and reduces jarring and chucking. This means a smoother ride for you. This has a 16,000 lb towing capacity. For a 20,000 hitch I recommend part # C16541.
The # C16411-204 installation kit is a custom kit that cuts the installation time in half when compared to universal kits. I have attached links to a couple of installation videos you can take a look at.
