Expert Reply:
The brake controller I recommend for your 2010 Ford F-150 is the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. This proportional brake controller is one of our most popular because it is easy to install and operate.
For simple installation, you will want the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter, part # 22292. To install this you simply plug one end in the back of the brake controller and the other end into the built-in port under the dash of your F-150. I have attached a link to an installation video for a brake controller on a 2010 F-150 you can check out.
If you do not have the 7-way connector at the back of your truck you will need part # 37185. This will convert the 4-way connector to a 4-way and 7-way connector. To complete the installation of the # 37185 I recommend part # C57202. This is a mounting bracket for the connector. You will also need part # 10-2-1 duplex wiring to complete the installation. This wire is sold by the foot. I have attached a link to an installation video for the connector you may want to take a look at.
