The brake controller I recommend for your 2011 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885.
This is our most popular brake controller because it is easy to install and operate. Along with the brake controller I recommend the Plug-In Wiring Adapter, part # 3035-P. To install this you simply plug one end of the adapter into the back of the brake controller and the other end into the built-in harness under the dash. The vehicle harness is normally located underneath and to the left of the steering column above the brake pedal. On some it can be found beneath the dash, near the center console. It should be a gray colored plug that will have 6 pins/holes. I have attached a photo of the plug on the 3035-P you can check out. The vehicle harness should match this plug.
