Installing a Brake Controller on a 2011 GMC Acadia with Factory Tow Package
Question:
What is the best way to ensure that all of the functions on the 7-way connector are working on a 2011 GMC acadia. I found a similar question answered previously in which an attachment was provided but it is not shown now.

You can check to see if the 12-volt circuit is working on your 7-Way using a circuit tester such as # PTW2993. Your 2011 GMC Acadia may or may not have to be on for the 12-volt circuit to work. It is the pin in the 1 o'clock position.
Other than possibly needing to make under hood connections you would just need wiring harness # 3026-P and the brake controller. I recommend the P2, # 90885, because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
