In order to be able to make sure your tailgate can open on your 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe with a roof box installed you will want to take a quick measurement.
If your crossbars are adjustable you want to slide the front crossbar as far forward as possible. Then measure from the center of the front crossbar rearward to the seam that separates the roof and the tailgate. That is the minimum clearance measurement for a roof box you will want. As the attached chart shows, the Yakima SkyBox NX 16, part # Y95AV, and the Yakima SkyBox 21, part # Y07337 both require at least 57 inches from the center of the front crossbar to the seam between the roof and tailgate.
I have attached another chart that shows the size of the Yakima roof boxes. You can check the dimensions of the roof box and measure your golf clubs to see if they would fit inside the # Y95AV.
I have attached a product review video you can check out.
