Choosing Class II or III Hitch for 2006 Subaru Legacy Sedan
Question:
I have a 2006 Subaru legacy sedan not Outback or wagon. Do Hidden Hitch 87446 and 90138 fit on the sedan? Most of the pictures show the Outback or Wagon. Does either hitch class 2 or 3 fit better or offer more clearance?

Draw-Tite is connected with Hidden Hitch and has some identical trailer hitch options to the ones you referenced. The Draw-Tite Class III hitch, part # 75560. Due to the much better selection of hitch mounted accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers, we customarily recommend folks go with the 2 inch receiver of the Class III hitch in this case.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing purposes, you'll need to install a trailer wiring harness like part # C59496. For the 2 inch receiver, use the # C45010 ball mount and the # 63845 for a 2 inch ball or the # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch ball and pin and clip # PC3. If you decide on the Class II hitch with the 1-1/4 inch receiver, the # 90138 includes the ball mount and the pin and clip. For a 2 inch ball, use # 19258 or # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
