Can the Pins of a 4-Way be Moved Around

Question:

I am wanting to make a custom connection with this adapter for my camper shell that I installed on my truck. I want to move the wires around in the adapter connector to get battery positive, battery negative and the 3rd brake light on the 4 way plug. I can then run the 4 way up to my camper shell connector. I want to avoid having to cut and splice my trailer wiring to get power and the third brake light connections for my camper shell. I have done this on other vehicles but I cannot get a good look at the adapter to see if the wires can be relocated to different locations. The GM wire harness tool usually works to release the wire on most OEM type connectors for moving wires in the connector. So the ultimate question is can the wires be relocated in the harness? Thanks

I have a solution for you, but the pins of the # 118381 cannot be relocated in the 4-way, you could however just cut the wires and splice them to different wires to move the circuits around.

Sounds like you only really need a 4-way plug and lead instead of the # 18252, for that you would want the # A35W42B for a 6 foot long harness.
