Expert Reply:
If you are looking to lower the hitch height of your tow vehicle by 10" in order to tow your 2015 Hyundai Elantra with a tow dolly, I recommend taking a look at the Cushioned Ball Mount for 2" Hitches, # AMSC10. This ball mount was designed with towing in mind and offers a tongue weight capacity of 2,000 lbs and a towing capacity of 10,000 lbs.
The Roadmaster High-Low Hitch Adapter, # RM-048-10, was designed for use with tow bars and is not for use with any style of trailer or car dolly.
The Cushioned Ball Mount, # AMSC10, uses a hitch ball with a shank diameter of 1 inch. For a 2 inch hitch ball you will need part # 63845 and for a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball you will need # 19260.
The only thing left is a hitch pin like # PC3 or # e98880 for the locking style.
