Can Prodigy And Prodigy P2 Brake Controller Use The Same Plug-In Adapter
Question:
Does the prodigy 90185 use the same plug as the 90885? Can you plug a P2 right into the existing prodigy plug?

Expert Reply:
The original Tekonsha Prodigy, part 90185 can use the same Plug-In Wiring Adapter, part # 3035-P which is compatible with any of Tekonsha's controllers. In other words, your existing plug will be compatible with the P2.
If you have a Prodigy installed and wish to change to a P2 , part # 90885 or Prodigy P3, part # 90195 you can simply plug it in using the same adapter. Functionally speaking, the P2 and P3 are pretty similar, but the P3 offer a display and controls that are more user-friendly.
If you are installing a brake controller in a different model vehicle you will always want to make sure you have the correct plug-in adapter for the make and model vehicle you wish to install the brake controller in.
