5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for a 2016 Ram 2500 Short Bed with Factory Prep Package

What 5th wheel hitch fits my 5th wheel mounts in my dodge short bed.

For a 5th wheel hitch that fits directly into the factory 5th wheel prep package in your 2016 Ram 2500 you can use B&W hitch # BWRVK3600. But on a short bed truck even the mounting range of the B&W hitch head might not provide enough clearance to make tight turns safely.
What I recommend is to use Demco adapter # DM6099 which fits in the Ram factory prep package. This will act as a base for the Demco HiJacker, # DM8550035, rated for 21,000 pounds. Another benefit is that this hitch slides automatically so you do not have to get in and out of the truck to activate the sliding mechanism like on other hitches.
