Replacement Hub/Drum Recommendation with 5 on 4-1/2 inch Bolt Pattern and 10 inch Diameter
Question:
I have a trailer drum/hub that i need to replace. its a 10inch drum with 5 on 4-1/2inch but the spindle that it fits is not matching what i see on your website. the axle is a sq shaft so the seal sits on a 1-3/8dia x 1/2lg area, the inner and outer bearings sit on a 1-1/16dia x 3-1/2lg. can you help me with this?

In order to pick out the correct hub assembly for a trailer you are going to need know a few key pieces of information. The first thing you will need to know is the bolt pattern of your hubs. Since you already know your is 5 on 4-1/2 inches we can move on to the next information needed.
Next thing you will need to know is what spindle you have on your trailer. In order to do that you can either get the inner and outer bearing numbers from a hub or use a dial caliper to get exact measurements of the spindle. The measurements needed are the parts of the spindle where the bearings ride.
The dimensions you gave me aren't like any spindle I have every heard of so I am wondering if maybe you measure the wrong spot. Check out the picture I attached to see where to measure.
If you get back to me with that information I will help you pick out the right hub assemblies. Or, you can follow the link I attached that will take you to the page that has all of our replacement hubs.
You would want to first select the bolt pattern that you have, next select the inner bearing you have, followed by selecting your outer bearing, and then all the correct hubs will be listed.
The only size hub/drum we carry that will match the bolt pattern and diameter you have would be the # 84546UC3 which takes an inner bearing of L68149 and outer bearing of L44649 with grease seal 58846.
The seal diameter you spindle should have is 1.73, inner bearing 1.38, and outer bearing 1.06. Hopefully that is what you have since it's our only option.
