How To Tell What Size Bearing Buddy Is Needed for My Trailer Hubs

I measured the existing caps on my trailer & they measure 2 1/2 accross the top, Im not sure what Bearing Buddies to buy ?

The portion you need to measure is not the cap, but the the hub bore. Remove the grease caps and measure the diameter of the opening the caps occupy. This is the hub bore. You will need an accurate measuring devices like a set of dial calipers that is accurate to 3 decimal places.

The Bearing Buddy pair you were looking at, part # BB1781, fits a 1.781 inch hub bore. The measurement you find should match exactly or very close to one of the measurements displayed on the Bearing Buddy page I have linked below.

The hub bore on my boat trailer measures 1.92 Not sure where to go from here, can you help ?

Unfortunately we don't have a Bearing Buddy Protector available that matches your 1.92" hub bore diameter exactly. Do you by chance know what outer bearing number the hub uses? There should be a number stamped inside the bearing itself.
