How are Double-Eye Trailer Springs Measured

Question:

Hello. Are the length measurements for your leaf springs taken from center of one bolt hole to the other for leaf springs with bolt holes on both ends - not slipper springs? Thanks

There are several measurements involved in our double-eye trailer springs, such as part # e77SR; however, yes the eye to eye measurement taken on center is the total length that we use and is standard.

Keep in mind when measuring old springs to replace them they're going to flatten out so they'll be longer than they were when they were new. Sometimes they'll be up to an inch longer. Your best bet is to use the length measurement as a starting poing and then find a slightly shorter spring with the same weight capacity.

I've also linked a help article on double-eye suspension for you.
