Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for a 2006 Scion xB
Question:
I have a 2006 Scion Xb. I want to tow a 6x12 v neck bumper pull enclosed utulitt trailer. I am thinking a hitch like this one and a ball mount may work but remain unsure Since towing isnt the Xbs focus I am a bit concerned about making sure the rigging is perfect. I dont plan to tow more than 2000 lbs

We do have trailer hitches that will fit your 2006 Scion xB but # C12490 only goes back to 2008 models. For your 2006 you can use the Curt hitch # C11487.
If you plan on doing any towing the correct ball mount to use is # 3593 . For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # C56030. Keep in mind the tongue weight capacity of the hitch is 200 pounds and the gross trailer weight capacity is 2,000 pounds.
Unfortunately there is not an available adapter that will allow for the use of hitch mounted accessories like bike racks or cargo boxes.
