Will Curt Fifth Wheel Legs for Dodge OEM Prep Pkg Clear Bed Mounted Fuel Tank

Question:

My question deals with Curt 16021 Leg Kit. I have a large fuel tank in the bed of my Ram. Question is: when the locking arms on the front 2 legs are in the open position and ready to it in the holes in the bed, what is the total distance from the center of these holes to the top or end of these locking arms? I have only 7 inches from the center of the hole in the bed to the rear wall of the fuel tank.

I think the legs will fit just fine. To fully open the locking arms, they're turned 90 degrees from their locked position, which does NOT have them pointing directly to the front which would place them close to the fuel tank.

Since the locking arms measure about 7-1/4 inches from the center of the bolt to the end, and they wont extend fully forward, I'm confident that the location of your fuel tank won't interfere with the locking arms. You will be able to install and remove the legs with no problem whatsoever.

I've edited a photo for you, where I've attempted to show this.

I have contacted Curt and confirmed that the Curt A20 (# C16140) will fit the # C16021 legs. The weight capacity of # C16021 is 24,000 lbs. Your height adjustments will be 14"-18". I have a few links below to give you more information.
