Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I have a 22foot Airstream trailer that requires very close maneuvering when storing. I want to mount this front hitch on a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The airstream GVWR is 4500# and the tongue weight is 350#. Is this hitch strong enough to use it for maneuvering this trailer?

Expert Reply:
At 350 pounds of tongue weight you would be over the capacity of Curt front receiver # C31033 for your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee which is actually rated for 300 pounds. You would have to lower the tongue weight of the trailer by moving some weight towards the back of the trailer and then move it using the hitch.
