7-Way and Brake Controller Recommendation for a 1999 Tiffin Allegro Bus Model
Question:
My wife and I just purchased a 1999 Tiffin Allegro Bus Model number 390ABUSOEXBOO7224 and it is in beautiful condition. We also purchased a Stehl Tow Dolley with electric brakes and I need a brake controller to go along with it. The gentleman I purchased it from said wed need a seven pin plug for the rear of our motor home to control the lights, brakes etc on the Dolley. The seven pin plug looks about the size of a cigarette lighter. Currently we have a run of the mill, flat plug beside our trailer hitch. What would I need to either change or adapt our flat plug to the seven pin round plug! Thanks in advance for your help. Hope you had a nice Christmas and the best to you all for 2015.

We have exactly what you will need. To convert the 4-way of your 1999 Tiffin Allegro Bus to a 7-way you will want the part # ETBC7. This comes with everything needed to install a brake controller and it's included 7-way connector. This kit comes with 25 feet of double bonded 10 gauge wire. If you need more than that you would want to order the part # 10-2-1 sold by the foot.
I attached a set of instructions for the # ETBC7 to the right.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
