How to Install a 7-Way and a P3 Brake Controller in a 2007 Ford Expedition

Question:

Question about the Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket - Vehicle End, Part Number: HM40975 So, I already have a 4-pin connector at the rear of my 2007 Ford Expedition with the class IV hitch already installed. The extra Electric Brake wire is there also. With this item will I simply need to cut the 4-pin connector loose, and then connect the 5 wires to this item? Ill also be installing the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller under the dash using the stock connector. It seems like a no-brainer, but I thought Id ask first.

Actually instead of the # HM40975 you would want the # 37185. This will allow you to plug your current 4-way directly into it and then attach your brake controller wire to the blue wire.

Check out the install video I attached for more info. This would go great with your P3 Brake Controller # 90195 that would install with the # 3035-P.
