Availability of Class II Hitch for 2007 Toyota Avalon

do you manufacture or know where i can get a class II hitch for a 2007 Toyota Avalon SRL?? i dont see it here on the web site. thanks

Expert Reply:
The 2007 Avalon is rated only for a light-duty Class I hitch, so there is no Class II hitch available.
Light duty Class I hitches have specific weight limitations; for example a hitch-mount bike rack for a Class I hitch can carry only 2 bikes maximum, regardless of the capacity of the bike rack itself. I have linked an article on hitch classes that will explain in detail.
We have the Curt Hitch # C11427 that is a confirmed fit for your Avalon. This is a bolt on hitch that requires no drilling or welding to install.
If you intend to do some light towing, you will want wiring harness # 119178KIT and drawbar # C45022. For a 1-7/8" hitch ball use # 19256. For a 2" hitch ball use # 19258. Please check with your owner's manual to see towing capacities.
If you use your hitch for an unsupported load like a class I bike rack or cargo carrier, you will need to also use a stabilizer strap like # 18050.
If a bike rack is in your future the other link will show you compatible 2-bike Class I bike racks, including the excellent lightweight Swagman XTC-2 Platform Bike Rack # S64670, which I would recommend to you.
