I will be happy to help. Starting with a brake controller we have many options but one controller stands out as my personal favorite, the P2, # 90885. This is our best selling controller of all time because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.

Installing it depends on how your 2010 Infiniti QX56 is set up. If your QX56 came with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector at the back you can use wiring harness # 3050-P with the brake controller.

If it does not have a trailer connector at all in the back you would need some different parts to install the brake controller. First you would need to install a 4-Way connector, # C59496, which has to be hardwired in. Then you would need 4- and 7-Way installation kit # ETBC7. I have included some links to the right that show and explain the ETBC7 installation.

Transmission coolers are not vehicle specific so we normally recommend using the largest one that will fit in the engine compartment (since it is not possible to over-cool the fluid). If your vehicle has a CVT transmission I do not recommend installing a cooler due to the sensitive nature of the CVT transmissions and the fact that the fluid for them is very expensive. It doesn't look like CVT transmissions are an option for your vehicle so that shouldn't be an issue.

I have included a link to the transmission coolers we carry as well as a help article on them for you.
