Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real brief look at the Yakima replacement Plug Kit. This is going to replace 20 lost or damaged plugs on your Yakima HullRaiser Roof Mounted Kayak Carrier. And on your screen, I am including the model numbers of those carriers that this is going to work with. As you can see, this is gonna work with the HullRaiser Aero, and then the HullRazor.
And then this is also going to fit the discontinued HullRaiser, identified by that model number. So as you know, the plugs here are going to attach the base pads to the J-cradle base, and the pads form a cushion between the cradle and the kayak hull. And these plugs are exactly like the ones that you are needing to replace. This is the direct replacement from Yakima. So what that means for you is you can trust that they're gonna fit right in place of the original, whether you've lost some, or some have gotten damaged.
So you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues, or anything like that. So again, you are going to receive 20. And if you're needing to replace loss or damage plugs on your HullRaiser Roof Mounted Kayak Carrier, this is going to be exactly what you need. Well, that's gonna wrap up our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

This replacement plug kit for the Yakima HullRaiser roof-mounted kayak carrier includes 20 plugs, used for attaching carrier pads onto the J-cradle bases. Padding provides cushion between cradle and kayak hull.I needed a Yakima adapter for my Hullraiser to go on a new outfit. etrailer was suggested to me by my local sports shop, since they didn't have it in stock.
Works great and now I'm ready to transport to anywhere, anytime. Thanks for the help, etrailer
Not much to review here - pretty straightforward product - useful if you have old Hullraiser racks that you have to refit to a new crossbar type (in my case I took old round bar clips off and chanced to whispbar-compatible clips). This requires taking the top surface off of the Hullraisers which damages plastic press-fit plugs, these replacement plugs re-attach the top part securely. If you are like me, you will discover you need these after you purchase whatever Hullraiser conversion stuff you buy - it is not made clear on the various Hullraiser conversion hardware item descriptions that you are going to need these plugs.
When removing the rubber pad from the hullraiser to convert it to Aero Bars, it’s likely you will damage the single use friction fit plugs. This kit provides enough replacement plugs for two (2) hullraisers. Thanks etrailer!
Arrived quickly and I was able to fix my old kayak rack!
Bought these so we could use two of our Hullraisers on my wife’s 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander. Easy to assemble and works great. Plus, we have a spare set of longer bolts left over. Now we have separate drop-off and pickup vehicles that each hold two kayaks.
Product arrived as ordered. More impressed with quick shipment/service.
