Hello, neighbors. Steven here with the etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the replacement hardware for the Yakima Basketcase Roof Rack Cargo Carrier. Now folks, this does replace the round or square crossbar mounting hardware for your Yakima Basketcase Roof Mounted Cargo Box. Now if you do have a aero, elliptical or factory crossbars, you will need the universal MightyMounts Y03590. And that is required and sold separately.
So, you will get quantity one replacement hardware kit. It's gonna include all this hardware before me. And again, this is for round or square crossbars to mount that Roof Rack Cargo Carrier Yakima Basketcase. So you got the four bolts, five clips, the four retainer. They got the nut and everything in there, hard plastic.
You got these guys, nice hard plastic. They'll go around the bars, obviously. They can spread open and whatnot. Have a little give to 'em. Nice genuine replacement parts direct from Yakima.

No problems on the delivery and ordering. Looks like there are different bar diameters for the Yakima bars, so these didn’t fit well which makes it difficult to install but still works.

I'm not sure what happened to the ones that came with my BasketCase 15 years ago, but when I went to put it on the car last week they were nowhere to be found. Couldn't find them at my local shops or the place I *used* to buy Yakima stuff from online, either. There were lots of similar looking things around, for watersport and wintersport mounts, but I figure the little washer clips are important, and the length may be too.
I'd bought a hitch and wiring harness from eTrailer, so when Googling brought me here, I knew I could buy with confidence. They got them to me in a couple days- plenty of time to install the rack for hauling Christmas loot tomorrow!

Your best bet is to purchase the Replacement Hardware for Yakima BasketCase Roof Rack # Y8870043 which will include everything you need.

Shane, thank you for your review. This kit part # Y8870043 for your Yakima basketcase only fits Yakima round and square bars. If you have any other bars I recommend the mighty mount kit part # Y03590.
