Hassle-Free, Self-Regulating Heating Cable

heating cable

This fresh-water hose includes a cable with a built-in heating element to keep your water from icing up when the temperature drops below freezing. Simply plug the cable into the 120V AC outlet on your RV. The element automatically activates when the outside temperature gets too cold, warming up the water and keeping it flowing so that it makes it to your RV without freezing. And if things get too hot outside, the heater turns off to prevent the cable from overheating.

It's cheaply built. Basically a PEX hose with a heat tape taped to it. Both ends leak through the fittings not due to the gasket but the fitting itself. Would not recommend this to anyone.

I am sorry to hear that the hose is not working for you. It does come with a three-year warranty and I can send the warranty details to you if you want.

by:

Just another crappy heated hose that leaks at the connection of the actual hose to the fitting, behind the threads. I hooked it all up the first time and insulated everything. Turned the water on and it leaked at the end opposite the plug. The fitting is bad from the factory. This is not a leak at the actual threads. I used pipe tape and double rubber washers inside. Nothing helped. I’ll be returning this.

Having received my order in a VERY QUICK four days, there is no “crunch time” in preparation for travel. My order, although small, two items, were received well packaged and undamaged. The Aquafresh heated fresh water hose and filter will make this years travel experience much more comfortable, knowing I don’t have to start my mornings “unfreezing” my water supply.
As a footnote; last years “wheel bareings” were received so rapidly, my down time was very minimal ((3days). Thank you, etrailer!

Overall I think this hose is going to work well for me. I actually got the heated hose in order to provide water for my animals (horses and ducks) this winter. We have only had a couple of nights below freezing so far, but there have been no problems with the hose. It is very stiff which makes it a bit awkward to use since I have to uncoil it at least once every day. One issue I am having is that I have leaks when I put a nozzle on it. I don't really expect the hose to be at fault with that, but I'm still working on it.

by:

Easy installation. This is the water source for my RV. Hose is a bit stiff but expected. Had read that in product reviews. Have not tested out yet . Waiting on cold weather but prepared.

by:

Product seems good quality, the only thing causing three stars is the box/packaging was absolutely destroyed. Hose was practically falling out of the shipping packaging.
Suggest better/stronger shipping packaging.
I look forward to the peace of mind utilizing this heated hose considering the freezing weather we’ve experienced the beginning of this year.

by:

Just using for 2 weeks still freezing in w.washington.but not my water
No longer have run water to keep lines open.
Look s like it will store easily after winter

by:

This hose has worked great. Tried others first that didn’t.

These hoses are hoses are complete garbage. First one was warranted out within less than a year due to it, being made poorly and snapping at the metal, had no issues with that etrailer was awesome with the replacement. But now I find myself less than two years down the road with a replacement rusted and broken. Cheap material. No one should buy this or sell this product.

by:

I’ve only used it one night when it was below freezing and it seemed to work well.
I had two issues with the hose:
1- The product description didn’t indicate which ends of the hose had the male/female connections. I had to buy both connections so that I could plug the electric into my receptacle in my wet bay.
2- The end with the electric cord is very tight to the water connection making it hard to twist tightly so there is no water leaking.
Overall, I’d give it a 4 for now.

by:

Used hose 2 times. First time worked great. Second time it leaked pretty bad from the factory hose connector. Replaced with several different seals and no change. Hose is now useless for the intended purpose as it likely has damaged the heating element.

by:

only give it 4 stars ,because I haven't used it yet. It came well packed and in very good order, as every thing I order from etrailer . I'm going to the high mountains so we will see how it works.. Looks very well made..

by:

The hose was great until I was changing a filter and noticed it was leaking. It has a 1 year warranty with etrailer and a 3 year warranty with Valterra. So I called etrailer and they were wonderful to work with. I had 7 days to go on my warranty with them and I sent my old one back and they sent me another one. Was very happy until I hooked this one up and it leaks worse than the one I sent back. Frustrated with Valterra. The hoses aren't cheap.

by:

I lived in my 5th wheel last winter, in Missoula MT and the hose didn't fail me even in below zero weather. The instructions state not to use an extension cord, but this is just not possible in some situations. My advice here is to buy a really good heavy gauge cord (don't go cheap here) and you will be fine. I purchased a cord that lit up at the end so you can check it easily. Also run some heat tape on the spigot itself.

by:

We’ve used this heated RV water hose 4-5 times in the past year and it has worked exactly as described! We first used it at Glacier NP in May of ‘19, then Alaska during the summer, and the last time was November of ‘19 at Lake Tahoe when it got down to 9 degrees F! No frozen water pipes! Great product and excellent etrailer.com customer service, as always!

by:

It worked great in Idaho during the winter now I’m heading to the mountains of North Carolina for a while I don’t see any problems with this hose.

by:

They were fast and helpful

by:

I live in my trailer full-time in North Central Texas, where winter weather is dynamic, to say the least. I got the hose last year just before a forecast cold snap. Others in my park had their water supply line freeze up -- I didn't. Ever. I left it inline all summer, out of laziness I guess, more than anything else. I took a close look at the hose the other day, and it looks new except for a little dust on it. If you are, or will be, anyplace with a chance of freezing your water supply, just get this hose. The consequences of waking up and not being able to make coffee are too terrible to imagine. Get this hose!

by:

I need a heated water hose for the winter and etrailer has the high quality Valterra heated water hose at the best price, period. The ordering was simple, and the delivery via UPS was excellent and fast. I use etrailer for many of my RV products and accessories and have never been disappointed.

by:

The heated hose worked great last winter. We are getting ready to test during a winter in Michigan.

by:

Received heated water hose , during my inspection the product is in perfect condition.
ETRAILER is a great company fast service and great products.
Thank your team for great service, five stars.

I purchased this last April before our Big Adventure to the Grand Canyon. The night temperture dropped to the low to mid 20s.
Nevertheless our water supply did not freeze up.

  • Does the Heating Element Run the Length of the AquaFresh High Pressure Heated Hose
The 25' AquaFresh High Pressure Heated Fresh Water Supply Hose # W01-5325 actually has the heating element running the length of the hose to ensure that the water does not clog up. Because of this no insulation is required. This also comes in a 15' length as part # W01-5315 and a 50' length as part # W01-5350.

  • Does AquaFresh Heated Hose Make Water Hot
The AquaFresh heated supply hose, part # W01-5325, doesn't actually heat the water. It just keeps it from freezing. There isn't an actual temperature the heating element gets to. It's 150 watts running through the heating source and gets hotter as the ambient temperature drops. It begins running between 45 and 50 F degrees and has been tested to keep water from freezing in temperatures as low as -15 degrees F. The hose is also available as a 15 foot hose, part # W01-5315, and a 50 foot...

  • Can the AquaFresh Heated High Pressure Hose Be Buried
Yes. The AquaFresh High Pressure Heated Fresh Water Supply Hose - 120V - 1/2" x 50' - Blue # W01-5350 can be buried underground, but I do recommend not burying under a great deal of dirt as it could constrict the flow of the hose.

  • Using AquaFresh W01-5350 Heated Fresh Water Supply Hose in the Snow
According to the manufacturer, being buried under the snow would actually be beneficial in sub-freezing temperatures because of the insulation the snow layer would provide. The # W01-5350 hose will still work well even when covered in snow.

  • Heated Drinking Water Hose Power Cord Lengths Available
It sounds to me like the extension cord you're using or the power cord for the Camco RV Heated Drinking Water Hose # CAM22903 has a short in it or that you're overloading the breaker. I would first test hose without the extensions cord to see if it is working, if not then the short is with the power cord of the hose. If it does work then it could be the extension cord or the breaker having too much drawing on it at once causing it to trip. The AquaFresh Heated Drinking Water Hose for...

  • Can Multiple Aquafresh Heated Drinking Water Hoses Be Connected Together
Yes, you can attach multiple AquaFresh Heated Drinking Water Hose for RVs - 50' Long x 1/2" Diameter - 120V # W01-5350 together. You'll just need a long extension cord to plug the second hose in and a double female hose connector, which can be found at your local hardware store.

  • Can Multiple W01-5315 Heated Water Hosed Be Connected Together
According to the manufacturer, you can indeed connect multiple hoses together. However, we do offer the hose in a 25 foot length as part # W01-5325 or a 50 foot length as # W01-5350. Rather than daisy chaining multiple hoses together, I'd recommend just going with a longer hose to save the inconvenience of running several extension cords to power each length. If you click the provided link, you can see a video where my buddy Hayden will walk you through how the hose works.

  • What Is The Longest RV Water Hose Available?
If you're looking for a heated water hose like the AquaFresh Heated Drinking Water Hose for RV's # W01-5350, 50' is the longest hose we carry. If you're looking for a standard water hose, the longest hose we carry is the Camco RV Drinking Water Hose - 5/8" Inner Diameter # CAM22803, which is 75' long. We do not offer a hose at that length you're asking about, unfortunately. If you wanted a longer hose, you'd have to connect two # CAM22803 hoses together.

  • Availability of Long Heated Water Hose
The longest heated water hose we have is the part # W01-5350 which is 50 feet long. With 4 of these you would span the 200 feet distance you need. It would be just a matter of powering each of the hoses. Sorry to hear about your house burning down! That's terrible! I hope this hose solution can help you.
