Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector. Now, this wiring harness is custom fit for your 2023 and newer Lexus RX 350 and RX 500H without the factory tow package. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle, and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, this harness gives you a 4-pole flat trailer connector at the back of your Lexus to power your trailer's signal lights.

This is going to be compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters. And of course, those adapters are sold separately. As you can see, included is a dust cap for the 4-pole flat connector, which is tethered to this plug housing, so that's going to ensure that you will not lose this cap. And of course, that cap is going to cover up those connection points when the plug is not being used. And it's going to be a tight fit as you can see here, so you're not gonna have to worry about this accidentally coming off or anything like that.

So, really, a nice tight, secure fit that this cap is going to give you. Now, moving to the back here, I wanna talk about this black box here. The black box on this harness is a ModuLite power module. And this ModuLite is going to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer. It does connect directly to your vehicle's battery to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system, reducing strain on your vehicle's wiring system.

And this is not going to affect how your taillights on your Lexus operates. Now, this harness is designed to connect quickly and easily, so there's not going to be any splicing of wires, no alterations to your Lexus' wiring, which could lead to damage or possibly void warranties. So these custom fit T-One connector plugs, they're gonna plug into your Lexus wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area on the driver's and passenger's sides. You will need to remove the plastic threshold cover, cargo trays, and side panel to access the vehicle's taillight wiring harness. And then these T-connectors are custom fit for your Lexus, so they are going to match up perfectly with the connection points on your vehicle, and they're going to snap and lock together for a tight, secure fit.

Now, once you have these plugs plugged in, you will need to make a good ground connection. And the ground wire is this white wire, and as you can see, it does have a ring terminal attached to it. And it does come with a self-tapping screw, so you can get this grounded to a suitable location, such as your Lexus's frame or crossmember. You just wanna make sure that that surface is clean and rust free. Then you'll wanna mount the ModuLite box to a safe, out-of-the-way location. And you could do that with another mounting screw that you might have on hand, or with the included double-sided adhesive tape, or even with one of the many cable ties that's included with this kit. And then you are going to need to run the hot lead to your vehicle's battery. That's this short black wire that's coming out of our ModuLite box. And this short wire is going to get connected to one end of this included bundle of black wire using one of the included butt connectors. And then the other end of this bundle is going to get routed to your vehicle's battery. And once you have this routed to the battery, you are going to then take this fuse holder, cut the yellow wire in half, and connect one of the wires with the second butt connector to the routed wire. And then the other half of the fuse holder is going to get an included ring terminal attached to it, and that's going to connect to the positive post of your vehicle's battery. It does come with this 15 amp fuse, and that fuse is going to go into this holder. And then you'll just close the cap, and that's gonna keep that fuse safe and sound. And you can secure any slack in your wiring, again, with the cable ties that I mentioned earlier, and you do get quite a few of them. So that's gonna make sure that your wires are nice and secure, you're not gonna have to worry about any slack or anything like that. Now, once installation is complete, this 4-way flat connector is gonna be stowed in your rear cargo area. The maximum amperage for the stop/turn lights is five amps per circuit, and for the taillights, it's 7.5 amps per circuit. This harness is constructed of 16-gauge bonded wire. Instructions are included to walk you through, in quite a bit more detail than we covered today, through the installation process. And it is also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all of your electrical connections, like the plugs on the vehicle and the 4-pole connector itself. And this grease is designed to help prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion and moisture. So on your screen, I'm including our item number for that grease.
