The corner brackets included with your TracVan ladder rack are designed to securely attach to your vehicle's rain gutters. The lower edge of each bracket fits into the gutter. J-Hooks are then used to hook around the outside edge of the gutter. Once everything is in place, just torque the fasteners down to ensure a sturdy, reliable connection.
The sturdy aluminum crossbars on all Thule TracRac ladder racks feature integrated slots for mounting and easily adjusting accessories, such as the included load stops. These slots appear on both the top and bottom of the bars for the ultimate in mounting versatility. Like the pieces that mount in the base rails, these accessories also have quick-release knobs that let you loosen and tighten them with a mere twist of a knob so that they can be positioned as needed along the bars.
A built-in trip strip at the front of each crossbar shields the slots from wind, maintaining the aerodynamic quality of the bars and preventing that annoying whistle you often find with slotted bars.
Included with your TracVan are four tie-down accessories. These load stops are designed to mount in the slots of the crossbars and slide along them for quick, easy adjustment. The bookend-style pieces help to hold ladders and lumber in place on the crossbars. They also have built-in loops for securing tie-down straps.
The TracVan rack system, as well most Thule TracRac accessories, is constructed of durable, lightweight aluminum. Because aluminum is lighter than steel - the material most often used for ladder racks - only a small percentage of your roof's capacity is taken up by the rack itself, enabling you to pack on more weight than you could with a steel system.
Even though aluminum is already rustproof in itself, Thule TracRac has taken the extra step of adding a dual powder coat finish to further protect your rack. The electrostatic powder coat (e-coat) clings to the metal surface better than traditional paint finishes for a more durable covering. The second coat is a clear finish that adds extra shine and protection from scuffs and scratches.

Sturdy, clamp-on installation requires no drilling. Load stops included.The Thule TracRac van ladder racks are strong and well designed. I did not have issues with the fasteners. With careful positioning of the racks on my 2012 General Motors full side van I can carry two 10 foot long/30 inch wide kayaks laid flat such that they touch at the widest point and can still utilize the included sliding tiedowns adjusted to fullest width. I coated the supplied gutter spans (required for General Motors full size vans from 1996 and beyond) with a rubber product to protect the vehicle paint. Precise installation of the racks on a tall vehicle without damaging the vehicle paint takes a lot of time/measuring and is best done with two people/ladders.
I needed a heavy duty rack to mount my roof top tent on and am super pleased with the quality of this rack and highly recommend it!
I order this rack for my 15 passenger van. It is very good quality and easy to assemble. For my needs this is an excellent product. Well made and true to the Thule brand. I’ll be able to use this for many applicstions.

Disappointed with the Thule company’s policy. We ordered a pair for our van, upon a representatives advice, and after they were installed we realized we needed a third cross bar. They wouldn’t accommodate our situation. We weren’t looking for something free. We needed to buy one single cross bar. And this was after a customer representative told us we would only need to purchase a pair. They did nothing for us.
I’ll never buy Thule again.

Exactly what I was looking for. Easy Install, Sturdy Construction with the best Weight Rating, and as far as ladder racks go, it looks great! I no longer need to carry my ladders inside my van & move them every time I need to load / unload something, plus I can carry huge A-Frames easily!!
I could not be more pleased with my purchase- the van ladder rack is well made, and looks great. I had previously ordered some shelving which also was well made and promptly delivered. The only slight issue with the ladder rack was that one of the tightening knobs for the brackets arrived broken, but was easily replaced.
I’ve had this rack for over a year and I must say it’s been very durable, even after a year of rugged work the rack stayed in excellent condition….this is a must recommend

The product looked great out of the package. I have attached them to a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 Van. I haven't used the racks to carry anything yet, but I expect they will perform well.

I added a cargo rack and solar panels to mine. I have 4 tacks on my vwbus,survived the 1000 mile road trip through Baja 2019.
I added more holes to the supports so i could move the crossbars up to accommodate for the curvature of the bus roof.
Excellent product. I bought a van with these racks over a decade ago and used them hard for over a decade. Ladders, lumber etc. My new van I ordered these racks from Etrailer and got outstanding service in tough times.

I needed roof racks so as usual I searched the web where
I stumbled upon the etrailer.com site.
There I found a product that appeared to be what I needed at a fair price and good quality.
I received the roof racks promptly after ordering and was surprised after opening the box to see the the racks exceeded my expectations.
All the parts were bagged neatly,all the parts were there AND all the parts were either stainless steal or aluminum, nothing to rust!
The quality is excellent,the instructions well written and helpful and the followup from the company excellent.
In this case I highly recommend etrailer and this American made product
