Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this recessed mount, 3 1/4" round LED RV puck light with the frosted glass lens. Now, this is a nice low profile dome light that illuminates your RV's interior with a nice warm white light. The LEDs they use make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last about 50 times longer and they're more efficient because they'll provide brighter light with less power output, and of course no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to break. It does use a frosted glass lens with white LEDs.

Now at the end of this video, I am going to hook this up to some 12-volt power to show you how bright the light is. This is compatible with 12-volt DC systems. It is a two wire design. You can see it includes the lead wire for power and then the lead wire for ground. Does include this box here, which is an external voltage regulator.Now to install this light, it's a very simple installation, there's no hardware needed.

Basically, it just uses the spring loaded clips here. Basically, what you'll do is cut a 2 1/2" diameter hole, which is the diameter of the cutout you'll need, cut that where you need to install this, connect your two wires, put your box up on top there, and then basically push the spring clips all the way. They're spring loaded, so you push these spring clips all the way straight up and then push it into that hole that you cut and then once it gets all the way in there, the springs will clip back down and hold it to your ceiling. It's pretty simple installation, you don't have to do any drilling or use any hardware. Just push these spring clips up and let it hold it into place.A few specs on this, the CRI, which is the color rendering index is 90.

Now, light sources with a CRI of 85 to 90 are considered good at color rendering. Voltage on this is 12-volts. Wattage is five Watts. Total wire length on this about 15". Just to give you some overall dimensions.

Diameter on this slide, edge to edge is 3 1/4". The depth or thickness of it is about 1/2". What I'm going to do now is we're going to go ahead and hook this up to some power and we'll show you, your white wire would be your ground and your black wire would be your power. Once we got those set up, go ahead and put on our power and there you can see the light come on. I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and you can see.Keep them from touching. You can see with that little light is giving off quite a bit of light. Once this is installed, you can see it'll give off nice white light. We'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. Go ahead and turn off our power, disconnect everything. That should do it for the review on the recessed mount 3 1/4" round LED RV puck light with the frosted glass lens.
