1992 Chevrolet Van

I was surprised to find a ready made, plug-in, trailer wiring harness for my 1992 Chevrolet G20 van. I Installed it and it is working fine. It saved me a lot of time and headache of tracing down individual wires, splicing and such. Price was very reasonable. Thanks.

Very nice wiring harness that plugged in directly to my taillight harness. No cutting/splicing needed. Arrived ahead of schedule which is incredible because I live in Alaska, that never happens for us. Will definitely do business again with etrailer.com

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver For 1995 Chevy G30 Van
First, thanks for the kind words, they are genuinely appreciated. And as far as questions go, asking about a front hitch on your 1995 Chevy G30 is not crazy at all, it is perfectly reasonable to wonder! But as you may have suspected, there is not a front hitch, just a rear hitch. I bring that up as you said you want to do a rear one, so when that time comes the correct part is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13016. Then if you also wanted a wiring harness you'd need the T-Connector...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendations for a 1995 Chevy Full-Size Cargo Van
Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 41121 fits the full size 1995 Chevy vans like yours and does not require drilling or trimming for installation. It does not fit models with a step bumper and based on your picture you do not have a step bumper so that is not a problem either. I have included a link to the instructions for you. If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4...

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver Compatible with 1995 Chevy G30 Coachmen Camper Van
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13016 is a fit for your 1995 Coachman Class B camper van. It is a fairly easy installation bolting up in about an hour with the possibility of holes needing to be enlarged. I've linked the installation instructions to assist. If you will be towing with this hitch receiver, I recommend also using the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55338 for your wiring harness. Then you can use the Curt...

  • 2-Inch Hitch for 1990 GMC Full Size Van Without Step Bumper
We do have custom-fit hitches for the 1990 GMC full-size van without step bumper but these are all Class III types and they are shown on the linked page. No class IV hitches are offered. Two of the hitches, the USA-made Curt # C13016 and the Draw-Tite # 41121, are no-drill installations. I recommend the Curt # C13016 because of its higher 6K towing capacity and its concealed cross tube which gives it a cleaner installed appearance. The written instructions are linked. If you also need...

  • Differences Between Draw-Tite Hitches # 41121 and # 75121 on a 1994 GMC Van
The main difference between the Draw-Tite Hitch # 75121 and the Draw-Tite Hitch # 41121 is the towing capacities of each hitch when a weight distribution system is being used. The # 75121 has capacities of 7,500 lbs GTW and 750 lbs TW when used with weight distribution, whereas the # 41121 can handle 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 TW when used with a weight distribution system. I attached installation instructions that apply for both hitches for you to check out. To complete your towing setup...

The Curt custom fit vehicle wiring, # C55338, connects to the vehicle behind the tail lights on the 1993 Chevy vans. • Installing a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller on 1988 Chevy G20
Before you can install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, # 90195, you will need to make sure that you have a trailer connection installed on your 1988 Chevrolet G20 van. You will need a trailer 4-way flat connection installed on your van. If you do not have a 4-way installed, then you will need the Curt T-One Wiring Harness, # C55338. The wiring harness will connect to your vehicle's wiring by plugging into existing plug in the harness. No cutting or splicing of the your vans factory wiring. Next,...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 1993 Chevrolet Van
I have a trailer hitch that is a confirmed fit for your 1993 Chevrolet G20 Van, but the Curt # 13028 will not fit on your Van. Draw-Tite has a 2 inch Trailer Hitch, part # 41121, that is a confirmed fit for your Chevy Van as long as it doesn't have a step bumper. This hitch has a Gross Trailer Weight of 5,000 lbs and a Max Tongue Weight of 500 lbs. If your Van does not have a wiring harness already installed you can use the Curt Wiring Harness, part # C55338. If you are needing to upgrade...

  • Installing a Brake Controller on a 1999 GMC Conversion Van
There are two possibilities. If your 1999 GMC Conversion Van has a tow package, there will be a port in which to plug in a wiring adapter from the Hopkins Agility Electric Brake Controller, # HM47294, to the port. It is part # HM47795. I have included a link to the installation details below. You would then need to install an Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole, # 37185. But, if the van has a round plug with a cap inside the driver side frame rail instead of a bundle of wires in the jack...

  • Where Does a Trailer Wiring Harness Install on a 1996 Chevy Conversion Van
Directly behind the tail lights on a 1996 Chevy full size van is where you would plug in the trailer wiring harness # C55338. There should be connectors that will mate with the ones in the wiring harness. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. On a conversion van, accessing the tail lights could be a little trickier than on regular models but it all depends on how the conversion van is equipped.

  • Trailer Wiring for a 1992 Chevrolet Van
To get your 1992 Chevrolet Van wired to pull a trailer, I would recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, # C55338. This will quickly plug into the existing wiring without splicing or cutting. You will need to remove the interior trim panels to install, but once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will simply rest in the cargo area when not in use. If you need to pull a trailer that has brakes, then you will need to first install...
